…upon the seas to which it eventually flows was a site specific sound installation in the Interior Garden of the Biosphère, Montréal. It uses recordings of water from around the world and the voices of people reading texts by Buckminster Fuller in their native languages. The water sounds - from trickles, through rivers and lakes, to the sea - flow along the stream which runs left to right to the pool at the right hand end. The voices gradually transform into water sounds through a process of editing, vocoding and mixing. They flow down the wall opposite the board walk, eventually dissolving into the water. See space-dis-place for a discussion of this piece.
