This is a site specific sound installation located in the visitor centre at Wigg Island Bird Sanctuary, Halton, Runcorne, Cheshire.
It was made at the invitation of Elizabeth-Jane Grose, who was creating a scultptural installation there. It is made up of recordings of birds that inhabit the site, organised as a span from dawn to dusk and from January to December. The excerpt is 'January dawn'.
The soundscape plays as you look through the main viewing window of the visitor centre, on which are etched images by Elizabeth-Jane Grose of birds found at the sanctuary.
